You are trusting InsightSquirrel with your leads, and your customers are trusting you with theirs. Here is plainly how we hold, protect and hand back that data.

1Where your data lives
InsightSquirrel runs on established cloud infrastructure. The application is hosted on Vercel, and your account, quizzes and captured leads are stored in a managed Postgres database provided by Supabase, hosted in the United Kingdom. Data is encrypted in transit using HTTPS (TLS), and encrypted at rest.
2Who can access it
Access to production data is limited to the people at CleverOwl Solutions who need it to run and support the service. Every account is protected by its own login, and one customer's data is never visible to another. You control who on your side has access by controlling your own login details.
3Sub-processors
To run the service we rely on a small number of trusted providers. These are the third parties that may process data on our behalf, and what each one does.

4Retention and deletion
We keep the leads you capture for as long as your account is active, so they are there whenever you need them. You can delete any individual lead yourself at any time from your Contacts page, which removes their personal details straight away (their anonymous, aggregate quiz stats remain so your reporting stays accurate).
If you cancel your subscription, your account and its data stay available to you for 28 days, so you can export anything you need or change your mind. After that, your data is permanently deleted. Need it removed sooner? Just email us and we will take care of it.
5Your data is yours
This is the part we care about most. Your leads belong to you, not to us, and you can take them with you whenever you like.
- Export all of your leads to a standard CSV file in one click, from your Contacts page.
- Available on every plan, including during your 14-day free trial.
- No lock-in, no "request an export and wait", no fee to get your own data back.
If a tool makes it hard to leave, it is holding your data hostage. We do the opposite.
6GDPR
InsightSquirrel is built to help you collect leads lawfully.
- Consent built in. When you capture a lead you choose what to ask for, add your own consent wording, and offer a separate, unticked marketing opt-in, so your respondents give clear, informed consent.
- Lawful basis. You are the data controller for the leads you collect; InsightSquirrel is the processor acting on your instructions.
- Erasure and access. You can delete or export any lead's data yourself (see sections 4 and 5), which helps you meet erasure and access requests quickly.
7Reporting a vulnerability
If you believe you have found a security issue, please tell us so we can fix it. We welcome responsible disclosure and will not pursue researchers who act in good faith.
Email [email protected] with the details. We aim to acknowledge every report within 48 hours.
8Subject access requests
If one of your leads asks you for a copy of their data, or asks you to delete it, you can handle it yourself in minutes: find them on your Contacts page to export or delete their record. If you need a copy of the data we hold about you as an InsightSquirrel customer, or want your account data removed, just get in touch.
