Lead-Ready Scorecard

A qualification scorecard that a prospect fills in themselves. It weighs three things that decide whether a conversation is worth having now: how sharp the need is, how soon they intend to act, and whether the person in front of you can actually say yes. Every lead arrives with a score and a band, so follow-up is aimed rather than scattered.

An example result

Answers are weighted across three categories: Need, Timing and Authority. Options that signal a live, funded, near-term decision score highest. The headline score out of 100 sorts leads into bands, and the three category scores tell a salesperson whether a promising lead is held back by timing, budget or the wrong contact.

72/100
Warm

Strong need and the right contact, but the timeline is soft. Do not push for a call yet. Send the one case study closest to their problem, offer a specific date to revisit, and set a reminder for the start of next quarter.

Hot (80-100)Live need, near-term timing and a decision maker. Call today.
Warm (60-79)Genuine intent with one thing missing. Nurture with a clear next step.
Nurture (35-59)Real interest but no urgency yet. Keep in a light-touch sequence.
Early (0-34)Curious, not ready. Educate and check back later.

Who it is for

For marketing and sales teams that generate more inbound leads than they can call. Put it on a landing page or after a lead magnet so every enquiry sorts itself, and your team starts the day with the hottest leads on top.

Questions about this template

Will scoring put people off answering honestly?

The respondent sees a helpful result, not a rejection. Frame it as a fit check that saves them time too, and completion stays high because the questions are short and about them.

Can I change what counts as a hot lead?

Yes. Adjust the weighting and the band thresholds so the definition of a ready lead matches how your team actually sells.

Where do the scored leads go?

Every response is captured as a lead with its score attached, ready to push into your CRM or email tool through webhooks or Zapier.
